Halloween is Ashley’s favorite time of year (besides Christmas). Her theatre kid dreams are fulfilled because she can dress up and play a character all day, plus there’s candy involved. She starts planning her costumes in March and she usually creates the costume herself (with minimal items bought online). In the past, Ashley had been Frida Khalo, a loaf of bread, a fairy, Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, and the most famed costume: Elton John. Elton John- Boots, glasses, feather shoulder pads were sourced online; pants, jacket, shirt were thrifted. The shirt was upcycled by sewing sequins onto it to resemble Elton's, the glasses were bedazzled by Ashley using clear nail polish and gems from Amazon.
